Project 1: Basic Editing in Premiere
To get started with Premiere, you will complete this video editing tutorial from Adobe. Download the content and start watching the tutorials to build your own project (instructions farther down). Do not watch the entire tutorial; watch and do the following sections and times. If needed, here is an additional tutorial on exporting and uploading specifically for YouTube.

Note: this project is cuts-only and does not include B-roll.
Outcomes
With the provided Adobe content, create your own 40-second hoverboard video. The finished project will demonstrate your ability to:
____ Create and save a project (1 pt.)
____ Import media into project (2 pts.)
____ Select in and out points and drag clips to timeline (4-5)
____ Adjust length of clips in timeline (2-4) (rhythm in different lengths of clips)
____ Move clips around in timeline and re-order (2-3)
____ A feel for timing with the appropriate number of clips for 40 seconds (2-4)
____ Lack of “black blank space” or choppy edits (adjacent clips are locked to one another) (2-4)
____ Use of slip tool and ripple edit tool (massage edits to beat of music bed) (1-3)
____ Well-mixed music bed (about -12 dB) (1-3)
____ Adding basic cross-fade transitions (command D) (1-3)
____ Export in H.264 (Youtube 1080) to your YouTube account (2)
